This site loads all of the content at once and then builds the web page based upon the menu selected.  We use JavaScript to re-built the page and set the history to allow the "Back" button to work within this design.  We also use hash tags so that the user can make bookmarks.

The advantage of this system is that the user has a very "snappy" web experience while only increasing the initial page load time by 10% or less.
